Step 1:

Install Thalamus Windows App

The windows app is required for the initial setup and customization of your Thalamus experience.

Step 2: Set up windows app

1. Sign in with access code

Your access code is the key to signing in to Thalamus. Every practice receives an access code once the sign up process is completed.

2. Device Authorization

Authorize device for Thalamus use.

3. Initial Setup

Add key details and business hours of your Dental Practice.

4. Create Owner’s Profile

Step 3: Set up Google TV

1. Plug one end of the USB power cable into your Chromecast
and the other end of the cable into the power supply. Use the
USB power cable and power adapter that is included in the
box for optimal performance.

2. Plug your Chromecast into any open HDMI
input on your TV.

3. Plug the power supply into an open outlet.

Step 4: Setup Waiting Room TV and Operatory Room TV

1. Download Thalamus Google TV App

Hold down the Assistant button and search for ‘Thalamus”

2. Sign in using access code

3. Choose TV location

Step 5: Play existing channels

1. View existing channel on homepage

2. Choose a channel

Choose from a variety of channels pre-built by the Thalamus team, or create your own.

3. Click "Play"

Done!

Thalamus is now ready!

Add new channel

1. Click “New Channel”

2. Customize Name / Theme

3. Set up Timeline

Drag and drop videos and decide order
they will play in

Customization

1. Click on header to change practice name

2. Click on footer to customize display

Create custom messages, add news
feeds, time, weather, and more.

Choose thumbnail images

1. Choose from image library

2. Upload your own images

Schedule Channel

Set up a time for your channel to automatically play
